A Year of Support, Clarity and Collaboration
As we move from 2025 into 2026, we’ve been reflecting on the progress our clients have made and the work we’ve done together. This year has been shaped by genuine support — the kind that gives business owners confidence, clarity and a calmer relationship with their numbers.
Many of the clients who joined us in 2025 had never experienced a collaborative accounts process before. Several had never seen management accounts or understood how powerful they could be. This became one of our biggest transformations of the year. We brought accounts up to date, prepared clear management reports and explained everything in a simple, jargon-free way.
When business owners truly understand their numbers, they start making decisions based on clarity rather than emotion. That shift has changed the way many of our clients run their businesses heading into 2026.
Management Accounts That Stand Out — Even to the Banks
One of the highlights of the year came from unexpected praise. A bank manager in Sheffield was reviewing a client’s funding application and commented on the standard of the management accounts we had prepared. They told us that many applicants either don’t have management accounts, or the ones provided by their accountants are — in their words — “a shambles.”
Seeing our clear, accurate and reliable reporting was a breath of fresh air for them, and it helped our client secure funding to grow their business. This feedback meant a great deal to us. It confirmed that our commitment to high-quality reporting, backed by easy to understand reporting tools like Xero, genuinely makes a difference for the people we support.

Throughout 2025, we’ve supported business owners in all sorts of transitions. Some used our insight to grow, diversify or prepare for investment. Others took a step back to reassess their goals and build businesses that work around their families and lifestyles.
For some clients, our work helped them create smoother processes so they could take more time with the people they love. For others, it involved preparing the business for sale so they could retire confidently. We’ve also supported clients in buying their dream homes, refurbishing their premises and planning for long-term growth.

A Stronger Team, A Stronger Insight
Our team development has been a meaningful part of 2025. Vicki has completed several new qualifications and training programmes, strengthening her skills and directly improving the support we offer. This kind of internal growth allows us to provide an even higher standard of service as we move into 2026.
We’ve also refined workflows, improved communication processes and strengthened how we use Xero to create smoother, more efficient experiences for clients. These changes make everything simpler and more supportive, which is exactly what we aim for.
Joining Xero’s For Good Ambassador Programme
Another highlight of 2025 has been signing up to become Xero For Good Ambassadors as part of Xero’s Know Your Numbers campaign. This initiative connects accountants and bookkeepers with small business owners who want to gain more confidence and clarity around their finances, offering accessible, free mentoring to empower people at the earliest stages of their journey.
For us, joining the programme felt like a natural extension of what we already do at Insight. We believe financial understanding should be available to everyone — not just those who already feel confident with their numbers. The ambassador programme allows us to share our knowledge more widely and support the local business community in a meaningful, approachable way.
Our involvement means we can help business owners better understand the basics, build healthier habits around financial decision-making and feel more grounded in the numbers that guide their business. It strengthens our connection to the small business community and allows us to play a part in lifting financial confidence for those who may not have had this kind of support before.
Being part of the Xero For Good Ambassador Programme reflects our commitment to clarity, collaboration and community – and we’re excited to see the positive impact this work will bring as we move into 2026.
Bringing Xero’s Learning Hub Into Our Website
We’ve also made financial learning easier for our clients this year by adding Xero’s Learning Hub to our website. The Hub is full of practical guides, short tutorials and step-by-step videos that help business owners understand Xero and use its features with confidence.
Having these resources in one place means clients can learn at their own pace, revisit topics whenever they need to and build a stronger understanding of the tools they use every day. It supports the one-to-one work we already do and helps create smoother workflows and clearer processes.
By incorporating the Learning Hub, we’re giving clients the full benefit of Xero’s support and helping them feel more informed and independent with their numbers.
