We are thrilled to share the latest updates from Xerocon London with you all! The event was buzzing with exciting announcements that will significantly enhance how we support your business through Xero. Here’s a recap of the key highlights and how they can benefit you…
Introducing Just Ask Xero (JAX)
One of the most exciting announcements was Just Ask Xero (JAX), a generative AI-powered smart business companion. Set to be available to test in beta this August, JAX is designed to streamline your daily operations by handling tasks like generating invoices or editing quotes directly in Xero or through apps you frequently use, such as mobile, WhatsApp, and email. JAX’s advanced technology ensures accuracy and security, making your business processes more efficient.
We are already registered for beta so as soon as this rolls out, we’ll be able to hit the ground running to implement this for you!
Client Insights Snapshot
Another exciting feature, now live in beta in XPM and Xero HQ, is the client insights snapshot. It offers key financial health metrics such as business health, profit, and expenses. These insights enable us to support oour clients better by identifying those who need timely advice on emerging issues.
Xero eInvoicing
In a rapidly changing world of payments, cash transactions are on the decline, making way for faster, more convenient digital methods. Xero’s eInvoicing feature helps you streamline your payment process by receiving bills electronically, eliminating manual data entry and reducing the risk of fraud. This feature provides a real-time view of your cash flow, making it easier to track and approve transactions efficiently. By embracing eInvoicing, you can manage your finances more securely and effectively, ensuring you stay ahead in a competitive market.
Direct Payments Through Xero
With the rise of digital wallets and NFC technology, customers now expect quick and easy payment options. Xero addresses this need by enabling direct payments through its platform, adding a ‘pay now’ button to online invoices to help you get paid faster. Additionally, Xero’s new bill payment solution allows businesses to manage and pay supplier bills directly within the software. This integration not only simplifies your payment processes but also provides accurate, real-time financial data to better manage your cash flow and predict future trends.
Tap to Pay on Android
Late payments have been a significant issue for UK small businesses, costing an estimated £1.6bn in 2023. To combat this, Xero will soon offer Tap to Pay in the UK, becoming the first major accounting platform to do so. This feature, launching in beta for Android users in August, will allow businesses to accept payments directly through the Xero Accounting app, providing a seamless payment experience.
More Ways to Pay in Xero
Xero also announced the expansion of payment options within the platform:
- New payment methods with Stripe, including bank transfers and buy now, pay later options.
- Simplified, embedded sign-up with Stripe for easier payment processing.
- Customisable payment methods to suit your business needs.
