Insight Finance Solutions are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our vibrant team following continued growth throughout 2025. We’re looking for someone with a passion for finances, a positive, can-do attitude and a thirst for skill development.

The position responsibilities will include:
Bookkeeping and compliance
- Collects client information
- Process client purchase documents
- Process sales information
- Bank reconciliations
- Nominal ledger reconciliations
- Payroll reconciliations
- Aged receivables analysis
- Aged payables analysis
- Review VAT returns
- Process payroll and other journals
Reporting
- Prepare draft management accounts and working papers
- Set up and manage cash flow budgets
- Issue aged receivables and payables reports
Communication and adhoc
- Client communication and requesting/chasing for records and information
- Providing clients with bookkeeping, accounts and business advice along with training and support
- Contacting HMRC on queries
- Supporting other team members with adhoc work
- Assisting with work scheduling
- Assisting with the development and management of systems, processes, procedures and implementing new software to improve efficiency and customer service to clients
Skills required;
- Great communications skills
- Flexible and adaptable team player
- Strong organisational skills and time management
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Confidence to speak to customers, external contacts and managing expectations
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience of working with Excel
- Previous finance, office and client facing experience is preferred
- AAT qualified or part qualified would be advantageous but not essential
- Experience with systems, decision making, office, time management, processes
- Previous experience with accountancy software preferred, as Xero Silver Partners this would ideally be with Xero
- Work part of a team as well as on your own initiative
- Confident in working effectively remotely from home
- Looking for development
- Trustworthy and experience handling sensitive and confidential information
